138 1458.Sep17 Consumer and Business Services Refunds You are entitled to a remedy if goods: • are not of acceptable quality • do not match the description, sample or demo model • are not fit for their intended purpose. A suitable remedy could be a repair, refund or replacement. You will need proof of purchase (e.g. receipt, credit card statement, lay-by agreement or online purchase receipt number). Your refund rights apply even if the goods are second hand or bought online. However, auction and private sales are not covered. You are not entitled to a refund if you simply change your mind (e.g. wrong size or it is an unwanted gift).
