The 2026 Hurtigruten Nordic Film Festival, presented by Palace, offers an enticing refuge from the depths of winter this July and August at Palace Nova Eastend and Prospect Palace Cinemas. Featuring the best new cinema from the Nordic region – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden – this year’s sensational line-up features a host of award-winners, box office hits and new gems from beloved actors, filmmakers, and brilliant newcomers.

The line-up includes the highly anticipated FJORD, direct from winning the Palme D’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival; The Love That Remains, directed by Hlynur Pálmason, a tender Icelandic comedy-drama following a couple and their three children over a year as they navigate separation. Butterfly, starring Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), about a pair of estranged sisters who reunite after their mother’s mysterious passing; The Last Resort, winner of Best Nordic Film at the Göteborg Film Festival, and the powerful Icelandic drama, ARRU, about a family of Sami reindeer herders fighting to protect their way of life.
