This September, Graduate Singers invites audiences to experience Belonging, a concert celebrating the connections that bring people together, under the direction of conductor Karl Geiger.
Belonging reflects on humanity’s deep need for shared connection – how we find one another, what we owe each other, and how we shape each other's lives. Through luminous harmonies and timeless texts, the concert explores the bonds that bridge distance and difference. The choir will be accompanied by acclaimed pianist Michael Ierace, whose virtuosity brings texture and colour to the evening.
The repertoire highlights contemporary Australian composers, including works by Tasmanian composer Ben van Tienen, and a setting by Carl Crossin OAM, renowned conductor, composer, and the choir’s patron. Australian American Melissa Dunphy’s radiant compositional voice sits alongside pieces by Gerald Finzi, Lucy Walker, Kim Arnesen, Susan LaBarr, Kyle Pederson, and more.
