WIN AN IN-SEASON DOUBLE PASS TO THE 2026 ST ALi ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL

The 2026 ST ALi Italian Film Festival returns to Adelaide from 16 September to 13 October at Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas and Palace Nova Prospect Cinemas. The festival is the largest celebration of Italian culture and film outside Italy, featuring contemporary drama, comedy, documentaries and a retrospective honouring one of Italy’s greatest filmmakers.

The festival includes Holy Cannoli, the witty romantic comedy from beloved Italian satirist Pierfrancesco "Pif" Diliberto, set in Palermo and centred on love, faith and pastries. Sweetheart, a multi award-winning coming-of-age drama follows Nico, a young boy who discovers ancient mysteries, love and superstition during a summer with his aunt in Sicily, while The Echo Chamber, based on the final screenplay by legendary filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci, is a spellbinding romantic drama starring Alicia Vikander.

Other festival highlights include Isabel Coixet's bittersweet adaptation Three Goodbyes and the world premiere of the Australian-Italian documentary Sand Roads, a heartfelt story of friendship, adventure, loss and courage.
