For the past 25 years, Gwyn Ashton has been captivating audiences across Europe and Australia with his incredible performances at numerous clubs, and at blues, rock, and jazz festivals.

Whether he's gracing intimate venues or commanding the big stage, Ashton's versatility shines through, delivering a heavy, overdrive blues/rock sound that can mesmerise thousands.

As one of the most prolific musicians in Australia and Europe, Ashton has taken listeners on an extraordinary journey through haunting lap slide instrumentals and heartfelt acoustic ballads, all the way to hard rock and slide-driven blues, with a sprinkle of everything in between.

His live shows are not only entertaining and funny but also infused with captivating stories and songs that share tales from his illustrious career.

Off the back of his global success, Ashton was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame for representing South Australian music (his own original compositions) all over the world, and was inducted by fellow South Aussie and bluesman, Chris Finnen, who he is sharing the bill with at this year’s Adelaide Guitar Festival.

Ashton's exceptional song writing abilities are matched by his mastery of the fretboard, showcasing his profound passion for delivering a top-notch performance using his extensive collection of acoustic and unique electric guitars.

His live setup is equally impressive, featuring foot-drums and a custom-made pedalboard of effects that allow him to create unparalleled sounds. With a wide range of tools at his disposal, he effortlessly incorporates fuzz, tap echo, and even an organ pedal, transporting audiences into a different sonic universe.

Gwyn Ashton's talent has garnered praise from rock and roll legends, including none other than Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, who hailed him as the 'king of feel', and Johnny Walker who described him as a 'true blues player’.

In 2013, he was invited to perform at the annual 'Thanks Jimi Festival' alongside Whitesnake's guitarist Bernie Marsden and Jimi Hendrix's brother Leon Hendrix. Together, they broke the Guinness Book of Records for the largest crowd ever playing 'Hey Joe' in the town square, with over 5,000 guitarists jamming harmoniously.
