Open Gardens SA Spring program for 2026 continues in October and November, opening more stunning gardens to visit for inspiration and enjoyment.
All gardens open from 10am until 4.30pm on the dates listed. General entry to each garden is $10, and $8 for Open Gardens SA Members and for those with a Commonwealth Government Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card. Under 18 receive free entry. Visitors are encouraged to bring cash as EFTPOS facilities are not always available.
October 2026
4 & 5 October (Sunday and Monday)

Kangaroo Island Rare Plant Garden
90 Ropers Road, Menzies, Kangaroo Island. Packed with Kangaroo Island native plants, including many threatened plants, this garden is a beautiful living laboratory. After the fires in 2020, the KI Rare Plant Garden was founded to safeguard the many threatened plant species indigenous to the island.
10 & 11 October

Our Hyland Home
14 Hyland Terrace, Rosslyn Park. The leafy ornamental pear trees lining the drive and the pots of bright colourful annuals by the front steps create an inviting entrance to Our Hyland Home, a 1920s bungalow. The garden has been professionally designed and landscaped.
17 & 18 October

The Glades
5 Linwood Avenue, Aldgate. A tranquil and pretty Hills garden with plenty of places to pause and enjoy the plants. Meandering paths designed for strolling offer lovely views of the garden, its shaded woodland areas and the sunlit glades that give the garden its name.
18 October (Sunday only)

Al Ru Farm
1016 One Tree Hill Road, One Tree Hill. Al Ru is a big, bold and beautiful garden of richly planted garden rooms. This expansive, beautiful garden was created by the late Ruth Irving, a plantswoman, passionate gardener, and visionary.
24 & 25 October

Claire’s Garden
14 St Peters Terrace, Willunga. Claire’s garden is a delightful mix of cottage and country - much loved and well-tended! Behind a cream picket fence and a lychgate draped with climbing roses, Claire’s cottage garden is filled with flowers and fragrance.

Christine’s Cottage Garden
17 St Peters Terrace, Willunga. An extravaganza of flowers – colourful, cheerful and exuberant! A remarkable, colourful, award winning, small garden crammed with stunning, super healthy roses, iris, cannas, poppies, heliotrope and many perennials including a range of salvias and lavender.
31 October & 1 November

Rosenthal Gully
2 Rosenthal Road, Bridgewater. A quirky hillside garden terraced and planted with vibrantly coloured cottage plants, including many roses. Rosenthal Gully is bright and colourful, flower-filled and creative!

Beneath the Scented Canopy
18 Margaret Street, Glandore. A much-loved, beautifully maintained garden that's small in area but big on ideas and impact. Beneath the Scented Canopy is a cheerful cottage-style garden surrounding a classic 1930s Art Deco home.
November 2026
1 November (Sunday only)

The Heritage Garden
12 McCord Lane, Sevenhill. A garden lovers’ piece of paradise – a superb spot to stop and smell the roses! Roses are known for their exquisite beauty, and to see The Heritage Garden in spring when thousands of rose bushes produce countless fragrant blooms is a very special and never-to-be-forgotten experience!
7 & 8 November

The Knoll
6 The Knoll Crescent, Coromandel Valley. A charming, much-loved garden brimming with inspiration and good ideas. Hidden behind a high hedge and overlooking three quarters of an acre of garden is The Knoll, an old stone house originally built by the present owner’s great-grandparents in 1896.

Drouin
12 Mossop Court, Littlehampton. Five acres of flower-filled and formal hills garden. An avenue of mature trees leads into Drouin, revealing five acres of stunning flower-filled, colourful and extensively planted gardens. In all, there are more than 1000 roses.
14 & 15 November

St Mary’s Vineyard
563 V&A Lane, Penola. This delightful country garden features Mediterranean planting and hundreds of roses and perennials. Over many years species suitable for the soil and climate have been trialled and now colourful roses, bulbs, iris, hardy perennials, succulents, hedges, trees and shrubs flourish around the classic homestead and outbuildings.

Corryton Park
335 Wirra Wirra Road, Pewsey Vale. An Impressive and elegant house and garden with rolling hills, grape vines, lawns and majestic gums. Gate pillars topped with symbolic griffins, ornate iron gates and a long oak-tree-lined drive are the first hints that Corryton Park is an outstanding property! Mature trees and majestic old gums surround the gracious stone homestead built in 1851, with its distinctive tower added in 1869.

Nick Mount’s Garden
2 The Parkway Leabrook. Nick Mount is renowned and celebrated both in Australia and internationally for his stunning glass-blown art, but he and his wife, Pauline, are also enthusiastic gardeners. Over the last thirty years, they have created an eclectic small garden that is a workspace, an inspiration and a refuge with a strong emphasis on fruit and vegetable growing.
21 & 22 November

Lochness Lodge
282 Ironbank Road, Ironbank. A lovely cool shady garden in an idyllic setting - peaceful, pretty and beautifully maintained. Lochness Lodge, a charming, white-painted cottage named to reflect the owners’ Scottish heritage, nestles amongst established trees in a picturesque Adelaide Hills valley.
