Today marks the opening of OzAsia Festival’s final program, celebrating 20 extraordinary years. I look forward to sharing this milestone anniversary with Seniors Card Members with a free program showcasing Asian and Asian Australian art, literature and music, at Adelaide Festival Centre and surrounds until 1 November.

From 2027, we will build on this proud legacy of Asian and Asian Australian artists and stories on our stages with a year-round program celebrating culturally diverse voices, through contemporary arts and cultural experiences.

As South Australia’s principal performing arts venue, we welcome more than a million people of all ages, experiences and cultures into our theatres, restaurants and gallery spaces each year. The one thing they all have in common is they come to be inspired, challenged, educated and, of course, entertained!

When it was first established in 1973, Adelaide Festival Centre was Australia’s first capital city arts venue. Now, over 50 years later, we remain as committed as ever to supporting and co-presenting a vast array of events, including some of the world’s biggest touring artists for the people of South Australia.
