Stirling will come alive with theatre, live music, comedy and magic from Friday 15 to Thursday 21 April, while the following weekend, Friday 22 to Sunday 24 April will be Lobethal’s turn, with its own dedicated program of music, magic, cabaret and family-friendly events.
Leading the program charge is the critically acclaimed dance piece, Egg by renowned Adelaide-based artist Erin Fowler. Egg is coming off two critically acclaimed Adelaide Fringe seasons and explores topics of fertility, motherhood and choices, using dance, clowning and a pulsating 80s soundtrack – it’s one not to be missed.
Magician, mentalist and Survivor star, Matt Tarrant has performed all around the globe to sold-out audiences and returns to the Adelaide Hills to mesmerise audiences. His show won’t fool you; rather it will have you believing in real magic again. He is only performing one night in Stirling, and it’s sure to be a sell-out.
Having just finished a sold-out Adelaide Fringe season with five-star reviews, Endo Days is a hilarious and poignant performance using songs and stories to educate about the seriousness of endometriosis.
Hypnotist, Isaac Lomann is on a mission to help people all over the world realise their ultimate potential. Utilising the incredible power of the subconscious mind, he is ready to empower Adelaide this April.
Fringe in the Hills will also welcome South Australian Singer, Nancy Bates performing her powerful show Still Talkin’ Bout A Revolution straight off her Adelaide Fringe sell-out season. As well as South Australia’s international proponent of cabaret, Michael Griffiths, plus a Best of SA Comedy Showcase and so much more.
With a stellar line up of family friendly activities, Fringe in the Hills program also includes Monski Mouse's Baby Disco Dance Hall, Bubba-Licious, Scientific Bubble Show, Bettong and Buddies, Game on 3 and Dinosaur Time Machine.
There really is something for everyone and best of all, it’s all in time for the Easter school holidays, so it’s the perfect way to keep the grandkids busy and entertained!
Kicking off this special event, the opening night party on Friday 15 April will light up the Stirling Lawns with a collection of world class entertainment and a spread of local food and beverages to gear up for the Fringe in the Hills season.
At both Lobethal and Stirling, there will be areas to relax with boutique Adelaide Hills drinks and food and your time there will be soundtracked by some of SA’s best musicians including Slow Mango, Jimmy Bay, Nathan May and Naomi Keyte and others.
Event organiser, Louise Clarke says she is excited to bring Fringe in the Hills to the regions this April. “We’ve run the Stirling Fringe for a number of years now and the support from the wonderful Stirling community has been fantastic, but we have had people telling us they would love for us to showcase more of the hills and Lobethal is the perfect town to do this in and we couldn’t be more excited,” she says. “There were some question marks over Covid, which meant we delayed our season that usually runs adjacent to the Adelaide Fringe but now we are so thrilled to showcase the Hills in autumn, which is such a beautiful time of the year and to have an all-South Australian lineup, we just couldn’t be more keen to put this on”.
15 – 21 April, Coventry Library Lawns, Stirling Community Theatre
22 – 24 April, Lobethal Mill Square, Lobethal Centennial Square
