The South Australian Seniors Card program has expanded, meaning more South Australians can now access the benefits and savings that come with membership.

New eligibility criteria mean people aged 60 and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 and over, who are Australian citizens or permanent residents living in South Australia, can apply for a Seniors Card. Importantly, there are now no restrictions on the number of hours worked, making the program accessible to many more people.

The expanded criteria are expected to make around 80,000 additional South Australians eligible for a Seniors Card, helping more people stay active, connected and supported with cost-of-living savings.

As an existing Seniors Card member, you already know the value of benefits such as free 24/7 Adelaide Metro travel, discounted regional transport, concessions on energy and everyday expenses, and savings from participating businesses across the state.

If you have friends, family members or colleagues who may now be eligible, encourage them to check their eligibility and apply. Assist them to apply by linking them to the Seniors Card website, visit www.seniorscard.sa.gov.au.
