Rainbow Rights in Conversation is empowering older LGBTI+ South Australians to understand their rights, access inclusive services, and stay connected to community as they get older.

Podcast series Rainbow Rights in Conversation is giving older LGBTI+ South Australians a powerful new tool to better understand their rights, connect with the wider community, and navigate systems like aged care and healthcare with confidence.

Hosted by Julie McCrossin AM, Rainbow Rights in Conversation is a warm and informative interview series featuring conversations with experts, community members and advocates, and includes practical advice for older LGBTI+ South Australians and their allies.

The podcast builds upon information and resources included with the Rainbow Rights Toolkit—an initiative developed by COTA SA and supported by the South Australian Government’s Office for Ageing Well - to ensure older LGBTI+ community members have access to key information to help them to age well.

“Many older LGBTI+ South Australians have lived through decades of discrimination, and navigating systems today can still be complex,” Rainbow Rights Project Officer Sarah Davison said.

“This podcast series brings together the wisdom of lived experience with practical tools and information.”
