South Australia's Week of Ageing Well begins on 1 October every year and is a celebration of living and ageing well.

This year’s theme promotes Building Age-Friendly, Connected Communities, with a call to action for everyone to build connection every day - highlighting the roles we all play in supporting each other to reduce social isolation and loneliness.
Small actions can make a big difference. A warm welcome, sharing helpful information, or checking in with someone can help people feel valued, visible and included. These moments of connection help strengthen the social fabric of our communities.
This year’s Week of Ageing Well encourages all South Australians to take part in four practical ways: share information, host an event, attend an event, and connect with someone.
One of the best ways to support the Week of Ageing Well is by hosting an event in your community. We invite you to spread the word and encourage partner organisations or stakeholders to register to host an event – which will be promoted in our Week of Ageing Well calendar of events from 27 July.
