The Australian Masters Games (AMG) is a week-long festival of sport that brings together weekend warriors from around Australia and the world to enjoy an extensive sporting and social program at the spiritual home of the Australian Masters Games – Adelaide, South Australia.
From 7 to 14 October 2023, more than 10,000 people aged 30 and over are expected to compete in 50+ sports! There is no maximum age limit, with sports offering categories for competitors aged 60+.
With events being held across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, thousands of friends and family members will be flocking to Adelaide to support competitors, while also touring the state and enjoying social events.
Events include the opening and closing ceremonies, Bogan Bingo, daily Happy Hours at SkyCity Village, Festival Plaza, concerts, and a Foreshore Fiesta at Glenelg.
The Australian Masters Games will provide an opportunity for like-minded people of almost any age to connect while sharing a common goal – competing in a sport for fun or to re-live the glory days of their younger professional or social sporting years.
This international event will draw people from across Australia, New Zealand, the US and as far as South Korea, thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Asia Pacific Masters Games.
Something for everyone
Sport breaks down barriers and at the Australian Masters Games, it’s about having a crack no matter what age or what level you’re at – as there are no qualifying standards to meet. Anyone can enter!
With sports ranging from dragon boat racing to pickleball, bocce and rugby league, to darts, softball, and yoga sports – there will be something for everyone.
